Monday Film Screenings curated by Kate!
Ladyfest Toronto and TPS Student Association present three evenings of film and video by emerging feminist artists curated by Kate-Christine Miller.
Each evening will be accompanied by discussion facilitated by the curator and including audience members, artists, and film critics/theorists. Discussion will address the works shown and their relationship to the evening's theme as well as what can be gleaned from the works individually and within the gendered travel construct.

Ernestine's Women's Shelter Food Bank
We will be accepting donations of non-perishables for the food bank at Ernestine's Women's Shelter at all Ladyfest Events this year. This food bank is used by former shelter residents and other clients who are fleeing violence and trying to establish independence for themselves and their families. Food banks have been suffering for the past year and donations of any size will make a difference in a woman's life.

Date Change!
This year's festival will take place November 25-29 in various locations in Toronto! Our festival is completely wheelchair accessible and we are working towards putting together an entirely free festival.
New Dates!
Ladyfest 2009 will kick off November 25th with Grannyboots at the Gladstone Hotel Ballroom! We are still organizing the rest of the events for the weekend following.

Volunteer with Ladyfest
We are always looking for people to organize with us! The first meetings for potential committee volunteers will take place near the beginning of September. All committee meetings will take place at free and wheelchair accessible spaces. If you are interested in joining a committe (such as arts, music, film, fundraising), or you want a smaller commitment, email your name, interest, and availability to

We are no longer going through a traditional application process but if you are an artist, performer, workshop leader, filmmaker, or writer and you think that your work might suit Ladyfest Toronto, then please email us some information about the type of work that you do and we will be in touch!

Ladyfest 2009 will be happening in the first week of November kicking off at the Gladstone on Wednesday November 4th. We are not going through the traditional application process as in past years so if you feel that you're a good fit as an artist, performer, workshop leader etc. please send an email to ladyfesttoronto@gmail.com or lftoarts@gmail.com.
We are starting to get organized for this year's festival so please email us if you want to volunteer.
